DPT 653 Bracing, Prosthetics, and Orthotics
The learner examines orthotics, prosthetics, taping, splinting, and bracing used in physical therapist practice. The learner applies functional and surgical anatomy, gait and movement analysis, residual limb management, clinical reasoning, screening, referral decision-making, and interprofessional collaboration to support biomechanical intervention planning across the lifespan.
