SLP 596 Externship Adult/Medical
Students complete a fulltime clinical practicum in medical settings (acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and outpatient clinics). Under certified medical SLPs, students provide evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders while meeting professional and regulatory standards. Weekly seminars strengthen clinical reasoning through case discussion, evidence-based practice, and interprofessional collaboration. Prerequisite:
