SLP 506 Fluency Assess/Intervention

Students explore the multifactorial nature of fluency disorders across the lifespan, examining neurobiological, linguistic, and psychological underpinnings. The course emphasizes culturally responsive, anti-ableist perspectives in understanding stuttering, cluttering, palilalia, and psychogenic stuttering. Students develop a clinical framework for holistic, evidence-based assessment and intervention that supports meaningful participation and communication autonomy. Prerequisite: SLP-504
