NUR 105 Fundamentals of Nursing Practice
This course reviews comprehensive health assessments including physiological psychological, sociological, cultural, and spiritual assessments as well as identification of stressors and health risks. Roles of the nurse in micro and macrosystems as well as profession-related and patient care concepts to provide safe, quality care are also covered. Nursing process provides a decision making framework to improve clinical judgement skills. Students review the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to promote health and preventing disease as patients strive to reach their optimal state ofwellness along with wellness as a means of minimizing burnout and compassion fatigue. - Prerequisites:
