NUR 101 Health Assessment
This course provides the framework for preparingstudents to perform comprehensive healthassessments on patients across the lifespan.Emphasis is placed on taking a thorough nursinghistory, performing physiological, psychological,sociological, cultural, and spiritualassessments, as well as identification ofstressors and health risks. Laboratoryexperiences provide an opportunity to practiceassessment skills on patients across the lifespanin a variety of settings. Course prerequisite:Admission into the generic BSN program;co-requisite: HSC 215. (4 sem. hrs. - 3 hours didactic lecture) and 3 hours of clinical per week)
