Cybersecurity, Bachelor of Science

The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity teaches students the conceptual and practical skills that will enable them to contribute to ensuring the reliability and security of cyberspace. The program will provide students with the fundamental knowledge of computer science that forms the technical foundation of the field, with an essential focus on experiential learning through laboratory exercises in the security-related courses. This degree provides students with the technical skills and theoretical concepts needed to protect the Internet-connected hardware, software, and data of computer systems. Students who complete the program will emerge as confident, tech-savvy professionals working at the forefront of cybersecurity.

Students who complete the major in Cybersecurity can earn a double major in Computer Science by completing the additional requirements in that program. A student doing the double major only needs to complete one internship.
