Psychology - Integrative Neuroscience, Bachelor of Science
A Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Integrative Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary major providing foundational courses in psychology, biology, and chemistry that prepare students for neuroscience coursework and specialized elective courses. Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system, as well as its functions and disorders. Integrative Neuroscience, in contrast, works as a unifying framework to better comprehend complex structures, cognitions, and behaviors. The Integrative Neuroscience concentration will therefore include an emphasis on the study of both cognition and behavior from a biological perspective. This concentration prepares students for graduate study in neuroscience and clinical psychology. It would be beneficial for students pursuing medical school with additional coursework in biology and chemistry. Graduates may also enter the workforce immediately upon graduation in careers such as lab and pharmacy technicians, various healthcare fields, and as research assistants.
