CHM 202 Organic Chemistry II

A continuation of CHM 201 with an added emphasis on molecules with biological importance. Includes a discussion of carboxylic acids and their derivatives, enolates, aromatics, amines, lipids, carbohydrates and amino acids. Laboratory work includes more advanced synthetic methods and an independent research project. Three hours lecture; three hours lab. Prerequisite: CHM 201. NSL (4 sem. hrs.)
