NUR 525 Informatics for Advanced Practice

Students apply concepts learned to the ethical use of data, information and knowledge in clinical practice and research, as well as explore the ways in which information and technology influence practice and decision- making in various aspects of nursing practice. Students also analyze the critical elements in the life cycle of information, patient care technology systems and the legal, ethical, cultural, economic and social factors affecting healthcare information technology. Prerequisite: Admission to the MSN program.
