Master of Education in Educational Leadership

Wilson College’s Masters in Educational Leadership is designed for committed, experienced educators seeking certification as elementary, middle, and secondary school administrators. The program emphasizes the achievement of administrative competencies through documented outcomes of field experiences embedded throughout the courses of the program. Wilson’s program is designed to meet the Pennsylvania Leadership Core Standards and Corollary Standards and to align with the National Policy Board for Educational Administration (NPBEA) Leadership Domains.  Students who enroll in this program will follow a course of study that includes the Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership (PIL) Competencies as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).

Students will choose from one of two paths:

  • Master's of Education in Educational Leadership — General
  • Master's of Education in Educational Leadership — with Principal's Certification

While courses in the program will be delivered online, students will be required to participate in in-person field experiences in their districts/organizations. These experiences will allow them to apply their coursework to real life situations.  The program options are designed to provide convenience to the working professional by offering the coursework online and having the field experiences and 12-month internship completed within the candidates’ home district/organization.
