NUR 361 Adult Medical Surgical Concepts
This course focuses on the care of adult patients with medical and/or surgical health alterations. Emphasis is placed on the care of patients with alterations in selected body functions. Concepts of health promotion, health education, evidence based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration will be integrated throughout thecourse. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe care to patients and selected groups in a variety of settings. Prerequisites:
NUR-201 and
NUR-231 with a grade of C (2.0) or higher. (5 sem. hrs.- 3 hours of didactic (lecture) and 8 hours of clinical per week)
