HIS 212 Gender and Power in Medieval Europe

An investigation of the lives and experiences of women in Europe from c. 500 CE - 1500 CE, placing medieval Europe within a global perspective. The relationship between gender and power will be explored through topics such as political power, religious life, work, and family work in different historical contexts across medieval Europe.
