VMT 318 Pharmacology

Study of drugs and their effects on animals, including principles of drug action, drug forms, usage, dosage and solution problems, toxicity, dispensing procedures and legal considerations. Anesthetic drugs and principles of anesthesiology will be emphasized in the laboratory. Animal care outside of class is mandatory. Three lecture; three hours laboratory. Prerequisites: VMT 213, 216, and concurrent enrollment in VMT 312; BIO 101 or 110; MAT 103; CHM 101 or 103. (4 sem. hrs.)
