MFA 507 Higher Education Seminar

This seminar is an examination of the path from being a graduate student to becoming a tenured faculty member. Students analyze academic job postings, craft application materials, and draft course proposals, syllabi and assessment rubrics. Students examine concerns such as Title XI, accreditation, and promotion and tenure, and engage in mock faculty interviews. (1 sem. hrs.) Prerequisite: Admission to program
