DNCORC Dance Production/Orchesis

Individual choreographic projects are designed and directed by students who share a special interest and/or experience in dance performance and composition. Project directors and faculty meet weekly in the seminar to view works in progress and discuss relevant artistic and practical problems. Project directors gain experience in lighting, design, stagecraft for dance, costume design, improvisation and composition. Student involvement ranges from participant to more advanced choreographer. (2 or 3 semester hours) Prerequisite: Three semester hours requires permission of instructor NOTE: No more than six semester hours may count toward graduation in a combination of applied music, choir, Orchesis and print journalism practicum.
