Esports Management, Bachelor of Arts

The Bachelor or Arts degree in Esports Management is designed to support students with the skills necessary to enter graduate roles in the burgeoning field of Esports and gaming. Technical and practical skills such as game development and event management are complemented with a broader appreciation of the dynamics of national and global gaming communities.  The program is designed give students the following skills:  the ability to critically analyze and evaluate games as well as their themes, mechanics, and other components, the ability to apply principles of marketing, sales and distribution to the specific conditions of the games industry, and an understanding of the history and cultural significance of games and Esports.  Minors that may enhance career opportunities and thus be attractive to students majoring in Esport Management include: graphic design, communication, or athletic coaching.
