SOC 345 Gender in Global Society

Examines how gender as a social construct structures the life chances of women and men in our global society. Attention to how gender intersects with other forms of structured inequality based on race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, and nationality will also be analyzed. Students will also consider strategies to bring about social change. Prerequisite: SOC 120. WS, NWC
