FRN 371 French Literary History & Criticism

Courses offered on an occasional basis to enhance the curriculum with subjects of special interest. In-depth analysis and discussion of selected areas of French and Francophone literature. Possible topics include "The French Autobiography," "The Body in French and Francophone Literature," "French Medieval Romances," "Major French Philosophers: From Montaigne to Derrida" or a study of a particular writer, group or movement (e.g., existentialism, postmodernism, etc.).
