ESS 330 Psychology of Sport

The course will provide an overview of the psychological principles as they relate to sport, coaching and exercise; and will give students an understanding of human behavior and performance in sports situations. Topics will include theoretical foundations of behavior, neurophysiological responses to stress and exercise, group and team dynamics, adherence and motivation, practical application of mental training strategies, etc. Prerequisite: PSY110 or permission of instructor.
