ESS 225 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Sport

The course will provide students with an analysis and understanding of racial, cultural, and gender issues in sport. An emphasis will be placed on historical and current topics relevant to diversity, equity and inclusion in sport as it relates to current practices, with an overarching focus on inclusion and equity of women. Practical strategies for facilitating acceptance of diversity, equity and inclusion within individual/team sports and environments are discussed.
