MUS APP Applied Music
Cumberland Valley School of Music, located in Thomson Hall on the Wilson campus, offers the opportunity for Wilson College students to take group instruction or individual, private music lessons for credit. These credits can be used to partially satisfy art graduation requirement, as well as be applied toward the music minor. Students can choose a band or orchestral instrument, voice, piano, organ, guitar or drum-set lessons. Students have fourteen weeks of 30-minute lessons. Students are expected to practice five times per week for the same length of time as their lessons and are encouraged to participate in a recital, subject to the recommendation of the instructor. Students should own or rent the instrument (with the exception of piano). Practice studios are available in Thomson Hall through arrangements with the CVSM office. (one semester hour.) NOTE: No more than six semester hours may count toward graduation in a combination of applied music, choir, Orchesis and print journalism practicum. ART
