ESS 345 Physiology of Exercise

Provides an understanding of the physiology of exercise with an emphasis on physiological responses and adaptations to exercise, and the physiology of athletic performance. Emphasis on scientific theories and principles underlying the development of strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Practical application of course content in terms of conditioning and training. Lecture and laboratory. Prerequisites: BIO-102, HSC-216, CHM-102 or CHM-104. NSL
