ENG 232 Modern Drama
Students study drama and modernity using a history-of-ideas approach. Works by Ibsen, Shaw, Chekhov, Pirandello, Hellman, Glaspell, Williams, O'Neill, Brecht, Beckett and Breuer illustrate developments in dramatic history from 19th-century realism to the Theater of the Absurd and postmodernism.
