Early Admission Program

Overview

Students with demonstrated academic achievement who are currently enrolled in high school may be permitted to attend Wilson College during their senior year.

Admission Criteria for Matriculation

• Cumulative GPA of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or above in an academic or college preparatory program.
• A written recommendation from the high school counselor or principal addressing the student’s ability to be successful in a collegiate environment; this includes the academic environment and the social co-curricular environment.

Application Process

Submit all application materials required for first-year students to the admissions office.

Submit a letter of recommendation and approval from the high school counselor or principal addressing the student’s ability to be successful at Wilson College and any remaining requirements the student must meet in order to graduate with her or his high school class.

Visit the campus and meet with an admissions counselor (required).

Apply by May 1 for fall semester and Dec. 1 for spring semester admission.

Students interested in residing on campus must meet with a representative of the office of the dean of students. Students matriculated through the early admission program are eligible to apply for federal, state and institutional financial aid.

The College will admit those students who demonstrate the academic background and maturity necessary for successful completion of college-level academic work.
