PSY 335 Evolutionary Psychology

The examination of basic mechanisms of natural selection and their influence upon the development of basic behavioral and cognitive adaptations. Topics include perception, learning and memory, mating and parenting strategies, competition and aggression, cooperation and altruism, cognition and emotion, kinship and social behavior, and cognitive and behavioral abnormalities. Prerequisites: PSY 207, PSY 208 or PSY 218. NS
